Pints4Paws 2018

On October 21st the Animal Welfare League of Arlington hosted Pints4Paws, its biggest fundraising event of the year at the Courthouse Plaza in Arlington. The event was a pop-up pet festival that included live music, doggy costume contests, food trucks and last but not least, unlimited craft beer and cider! General admission tickets included admission, a cup, and unlimited craft beer and cider tastings for guests who were 21+. VIP tickets could be purchased as well and included a larger tasting cup and a limited addition t-shirt designed for the event. Live music kicked off with Travis Tucker, best known for his appearance on American Idol season 4. Travis had the audience dancing and singing along to his song selection and was definitely a hit those in attendance.  As the afternoon went on, the music sets continued with great performances by Eddie Pasa and Down Wilson – check out their pages to see upcoming shows and event information!

The Capitol Z Homes Team had so much fun meeting everyone at our sponsored rest your dog tent! One of our favorite parts of this event was a series of doggy costumes contests where each pet had the opportunity to show off their look on the catwalk.  From Bob Ross, to Chance the Rapper and hot dogs galore; everyone was having a wag-tastic time! The Capitol Z Homes Team had three of our four-legged members participate in the contest. Star strutted her stuff as a fierce, but adorable lion, Luda flew down the runway as Superman and Ophy was the cutest UPS delivery woman, making sure your package was delivered right on time! This event is one of the many examples of why Arlington is such a wonderful place to live. Not only did we come together for a wonderful cause, but we also got to enjoy a perfect Sunday with our friends and neighbors. From philanthropic events, farmers markets, pup-friendly patios, nightlife and incredible dining, Arlington has it all!

We hope everyone had as much fun as we did at this event. According to the Animal Welfare League of Arlington’s Facebook Page, over 800 were in attendance, and the league was able to raise $45,000 for animals in need! How incredible is that? Pets are more than just animals, they are very important members of our family and bring so much joy to our homes every day. The Capitol Z Homes Team is dedicated to helping animals in need in any way we can and look forward to future events to come!
