With so many people working from home these days, an inspiring and pleasant workspace is key. Some things to consider when dreaming up your space:
Natural light: Picking a room with a window and lots of natural light is a great mood booster and can also help you feel more calm and focused. Working in a windowless room? Try to keep the room as bright as possible. Keep walls white and add a mirror or two to bounce the bright light around.
Organization: This is a hot topic right now. Everyone is out there trying to figure out what “sparks joy” thanks to Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix. Clutter in the workspace can be extremely distracting when you are trying to focus and be productive on the task at hand. When setting up a workspace try to keep it as simple as possible. Hide unsightly cords and wires and utilize drawers and shelves to keep it clean and hold everything necessary for a successful work day!
Greenery: Bring the inside in! Indoor plants add a little bit of life to the room you will be spending a ton of time in. Search for something low maintenance that will not require constant watering.
