Every year The Capitol Z Homes Team comes together to celebrate the holiday season and blow off some steam after a year of hard work. While we couldn’t have our usual holiday celebration, we did find a way to enjoy the sights of the season and spend some time together outside of work.
To ensure we were outdoors and could stay six feet apart, we decided to take a stroll through the Winter Walk of Lights at the Meadowlark Botanical Garden! Due to social distancing and safety precautions, we purchased our tickets in advance and waited by our cars until our ticketed entry time arrived. Hand sanitizer was available, masks were required, and proper social distancing was able to be maintained at all times.
The walk is one way only, but they allow you to take your time to really enjoy every display that they have available. One of our favorite sections were the lanterns with twinkle lights and fairy villages right upon entry to the gardens. It was such a whimsical display surrounded by hues of teal, purple and pink. Not your traditional light display by any means! We loved that Meadowlark tied everything back to the theme of nature and the botanical gardens. Lighted fish jumping out of rivers and ponds, busy bees flying to and from the sparkling hive and bears looking for their holiday honey!
If you are in search of an outdoor holiday outing for the family this season, definitely check out this display! They are open every evening until January 3rd, but be sure to purchase tickets online in advance.
Have you explored any light displays this season? What were your favorite?
